My journey into Human Resources began after years of working in the service and hospitality industry, where I saw firsthand how workplace practices impact employees and business operations. Those experiences inspired me to pursue HR with a focus on creating fair, organized, and compliant workplaces.

Early in my HR career, I gained hands-on experience navigating Department of Labor matters, OSHA requirements, workers’ compensation, insurance concerns, and other compliance challenges. I saw how quickly small issues can become costly problems when compliance is addressed too late.

I founded Proactive K Consulting to help Rhode Island businesses take a more proactive approach to HR. I provide practical compliance audits, policy and handbook reviews, personnel-file audits, wage-and-hour support, leave guidance, workplace training, and customized HR procedures.

My goal is simple: make HR compliance easier to understand and manage while helping businesses protect their employees and their organization. At Proactive K Consulting, compliance isn’t just about checking boxes—it’s about identifying risks early and building stronger workplaces.
